Throughout my career, every role I have held has had one thing in common: helping people navigate something important. As a Tax Accountant in a CPA office, I completed hundreds of individual and business tax returns and worked closely with small business owners to help them understand their financials from the inside out. I know how a small business really operates — not just from a textbook, but from years of working through the numbers with real owners.
As a Series 7 licensed Stockbroker, I helped clients build comprehensive financial plans designed to secure their futures. That experience sharpened my ability to think strategically about wealth, risk, and long-term goals — skills I use every day when helping business owners evaluate their options.
As a local elected official in Michigan, I learned how to listen carefully, advocate effectively, and work across multiple levels of government to get things done. I authored the city's Tree Conservation Ordinance and was the driving force behind the creation of a Disability Commission that made a lasting difference in my community. I served on multiple boards and committees — from the General Government Pension Board to the Southeast Michigan Council of Governments Finance Committee.

When I discovered business brokerage, I found a career that brings everything together. My accounting background means I can read financial statements, understand add-backs, and spot red flags. My finance background means I can evaluate a business strategically and help clients understand true value. My government and community service background means I know how to listen, build trust, and advocate for the people I serve.
Today I am proud to be a Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) — one of the highest professional designations in the field — a member and SWFL District Treasurer of the Business Brokers of Florida (BBF), and a Sales Associate of Edison Business Advisors, one of Southwest Florida's most respected brokerage firms. Southwest Florida is my home, and I am deeply committed to this community and its business owners.
